My First Time by Diane McSweeney
A couple of months ago, I was approached by radio documentarist, Diane McSweeney to participate in her latest project that explored Irish attitudes towards sex, sex education, and gender roles through the medium of sharing virginity loss stories.
It aired on Sunday, but you can find the podcast below.
It's a wonderful 40 minute documentary with people from varying backgrounds, sexualities, and age groups. Some are silly; some are romantic; some (like my own) are quite cringey. All of them, however, are beautifully told by the interviewees and seamlessly stitched together with some fantastic musical choices by Diane.
I'd encourage you all to give it a listen with some friends and share your own "My First Time" stories.
